Mathematics Day Celebration

Mathematics Day was celebrated on 22nd December 2018. The programme was inaugurated in the BCE campus by the Principal Dr. Gomatesh M Ravanavar by showering flowers to the great mathematician . Speaking on the occasion, he said we have to learn a lot from the life sketch of Srinivasa Ramanjan, a great mathematician. If we could indulge at least some of his attributes it could be a nice job. Smt Savita G ravanavar, HOD, Department of Mathematics briefed about the achievements of the great personality. Ms. Deesha , I Sem. B Sec anchored the program. Ms. Preetu, I Sem. B Sec spoke on Srinivasa Ramanjan. The prizes for the wall paper competition conducted on Fibonacci day on 23rd November 2018 were distributed. The First prize was bagged by the team comprising of : Ms. Shrunga, Ms.Nisarga, Ms.Spoorthi, Ms.Anusha, Ms.Apoorva, Ms.Kavana, Ms.Akshatha and Ms.Chayashri, I sem A sec. The Second prize was bagged Ms.Shalini and Ms.Shrunga.A.L III Sem Civil.

Students participated and presented lessons on Magic squares and geometry in SNPU college, Sri Bahubali Polytechnic, Govt. Girls High School and Govt. Boys High School, Shravanabelagola. They also conducted competitions on Mathematics and distributed prizes to the students of the schools and colleges. The programme was successfully organised and co-ordinated by Sri. Sandeep Padesur, Asst. Prof, Department of Mathematics.

Fibonacci Day

Fibonacci Day was celebrated on 22nd November 2018. Wallpaper Competition was organized in this regard. Students participated and presented the wallpapers which were displayed on the notice board. Fibonacci series was formed by the students in the quadrangle.

The First prize was bagged by the team comprising of : Ms. Shrunga, Ms.Nisarga, Ms.Spoorthi, Ms.Anusha, Ms.Apoorva, Ms.Kavana, Ms.Akshatha and Ms.Chayashri. The Second prize was bagged Ms.Shalini and Ms.Shrunga.A.L

Induction Programe - 2018

The induction program was conducted for the first year students from 6th August to 18th August 2018 as per the directions of the VTU. The inauguration was held on the first day at 9.30 am in the Conference Hall.

Orientation day was convened for the new entrants to first semester BE, on 06.08.2018. More than 80 students accompanied by their parents participated in the program. The programme initiated with invocation by Sri Sarvesh Jain, followed by welcome speech by Sri Kiran P, Assist. Prof. , Mechanical Dept. Sri. Kiran A S presented the college report for the year 2018 Students. Mr. Amit , III year Mech., Ms. Sheetal Jain, III year CS&E, Mr. Nithin, III year IS&E, Mr. Swaroop Jain, final year E&CE and Ms. final year Civil shared their experiences.

Prof. G. M. Ravanavar, Dean (Academic), explained the instructions and guidelines of VTU as well as the rules and regulations of BCE. Principal Dr. Ramegowda, presided over the function.

Oath taking was administered by the Students’s Welfare Officer Sri. Nagaraju S. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Roopa, Assistant Professor, Induction Programme Coordinator, Department of Mathematics. Sri. Rajesh Kambar and Sri. Theju, Assistant Professors, Mechanical Department were the anchors for the program.

The Program was inaugurated by Invocation by Vanishree Lende and group, followed by Welcoming the Guests. Lighting the lamp, Reports on academics, T & P activities and sports: Instructions and guidelines were addressed by the Principal. The Heads of the Department were introduced to the gathering. Finally the vote of thanks was rendered

The following activities were scheduled for the students : Physical Activity, Creative Arts, Universal Human Values, Literacy, Proficiency Modules (Computer & English), Lectures by eminent personalities, Visits to local area, Familiarization to Dept. & Innovations.

The resource persons on Universal Human Values for two days were Dr. Jones Richard, Head, MSW & Skill Development Cell, Dr. Krisjhnan Bhatt, Professor -MSc.Psychology, Prof Abrahamm, Prof in Journalism and Mass Communication PG Department & Dr. Shreedhar, Head, Dept. of Hindi, NSS Programme Officer of Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru

The students were involved in various activities, sports games planting and watering the saplings.

Lectures by eminent personalities : Sri. Ashok Kumar S N, Editor, Gommatwani spoke on History of Shravanabelagola, Sri. C N Ashok, Environmentalist, Channarayapatna presented a Lecture on Environment and hazards of Environment Pollution.

Fruits were distributed by the students at Bahubali Children Hospital and Vruddashrama (Old age home).
