Faculty Development Programme

The departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Science & Engineering, jointly organized VTU TEQIP 1.3 sponsored 3 days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) IN EDUCATION” from 17th – 19th August, 2019 in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Belagavi, Karnataka, Aryabhatta Knowledge University Patna, Bihar, Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha.

The resource persons were Prof. R. P. Punagin, Principal (Rtd.), K.L.E. Society’s College of Engineering & Technology, Udyambag, Belagavi, Prof. Rajashekhar M., Assistant Professor & HOD, Department of Civil Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Macche, Belagavi, and Ms. Umashree M. Sajjanar, Assistant Professor in BME Department at KLE’s Dr M.S.Sheshagiri College of Engineering and Technology, Belagavi.

  • A guest lecture was arranged on "Design and Analysis of Algorithms" by Smt.Niharika Kumar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of ISE, RNSIT, Bengaluru
  • A guest lecture was arranged on "UNIX System Programming" by Mr. RajKumar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of ISE, RNSIT, Bengaluru
  • A guest lecture was arranged for two days on "Compliler Design" by Dr. D.S. Guru, Reader, DoS in Computer Science, Manasagangotri, Mysuru
  • A guest lecture was arranged on "Finite Automata and Formal Languages" by Prof. Padma Reddy A.M., Professor & HOD, Sai Vidya Institute of Technology
  • A technical training on "C Programming" was conducted by the faculty of the department
  • A workshop conducted on Siribhoovalaya and ML & AI held on 03/12/2022." was conducted by the faculty and students. The Ex-principal and GC-MC BCE member Dr.Mahaveer T Lagare delivered on Siri-Bhoobalaya which consists of 27x27 matrix with numbers written about 1000 years ago by Munikumudendu the outstanding inimitable and this is called as Kumudendu Code Table . The matrix represents many ancient stories like Rmayanaya , Mahabaratha also. It is claimed that 16000 chakras, divided amongst 9 khandas constitute whole of siri-Bhoobalaya. Decoding of the above matrix is still under research. Mrs. Niharika prasanna kumar has delivered a lecture about Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts on this workshop.
