FACE- FORUM OF ADVANCED CIVIL ENGINEERS

FACE Civil Student forum was inaugurated on 16th April 2019 in presence of Dr. Gomatesh M. Ravanavar, Principal and Shri. H.D. Nagendraiah, Chairman, Governing Council Bahubali College of Engineering.The Chief Guest was Dr. Jayantha K.S., Principal of Malnad College of Engineering Hassan. A technical talk was also given by Dr. Jayantha K.S. on Recent technologies in Civil Engineering.

The various acivities conducted from the forum

1. Forum of Advanced Civil Engineers (FACE)

Forum of Advanced Civil Engineers (FACE) organized a guest lecture in Bahubali College of Engineering on 16.09.2019.Dr Sathish Annigeri, Registrar (Evaluation), VTU Belagavi was the chief guest and speaker of the session. The interactive session was on “How to be a good learner.” More than 150 students were benefitted by this programme which was organized in Conference Hall.

Visit to Linganamakki Powerhouse and Dam and Temple Run.

  1. Successfully organized four days industrial visit to Sharavathi Power House and Dam( Shivamogga) , Varahi Power House( Udupi) , Waste segregation plant ( Goa) for 6th and 8th Semester students in the academic year 2023.

3. Wrokshop

Total station workshop was conducted by Seven Craft Group for 6th semester students from 25th to 29th January for 5 days. Total of 58 students attended the training.

4. Technical Training
  1. A technical training on REVIT SOFTWARE for final year students was conducted from 30th April to 7th May 2019 for 8 days by CAD DESK Mysuru. 21 students are benefited from this.
  2. 7 days of technical training programme was organized by Civil department in BCE for 6th and 8th semester students by SAICADD, Bangalore. Nearly 40 students attended the training session.
  3. 5 days of total station training programme was organized by Civil department in BCE for 6th semester students by CESTEK Bangalore.
  4. Technical Talk on Cracking GATE Exams and Carrer Guiduance.
5. Mixed Cricket during the AY 2021-22

Mixed Cricket was Organised to students of all Semester as a part of curriculum.

6. Google Sketch up Training
  1. Google Sketch up Training for Students in the AY 2021-22.
  2. Students are trained by advanced Softwares like Google SketchUp as a part of Internship. Also, online Intership program was organised on Vastu In Construction.
7. Survey
  1. Extensive Survey in the AY 2019-20 and AY 2021-22
  2. Survey camp was successfully done for 6th semester students at Shravanabelagola in the academic year 2023.
