Development Programmes

  • The department has a forum INFOCOMS where the students can cultivate their personality by participating in technical and cultural activities.The different activities conducted are:

    • The departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Science & Engineering, jointly organized VTU TEQIP 1.3 sponsored 3 days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) IN EDUCATION” from 17th – 19th August, 2019 in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Belagavi, Karnataka, Aryabhatta Knowledge University Patna, Bihar, Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha.

      The resource persons were Prof. R. P. Punagin, Principal (Rtd.), K.L.E. Society’s College of Engineering & Technology, Udyambag, Belagavi, Prof. Rajashekhar M., Assistant Professor & HOD, Department of Civil Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Macche, Belagavi, and Ms. Umashree M. Sajjanar, Assistant Professor in BME Department at KLE’s Dr M.S.Sheshagiri College of Engineering and Technology, Belagavi.

    • A two day workshop on Python Application Programming was organised on 5th and 6th May 2018 for the students of CSE and ISE. Mr.Rajath A N, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, was the resource person

  • A two day workshop on “Android and its Application Development” was conducted for the students of CSE, ISE and ECE by Geekslab Technologies Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi.
  • A guest lecture was arranged on “Design and Analysis of Algorithms” by Smt.Niharika Kumar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of ISE, RNSIT, Bengaluru.
  • A guest lecture was arranged on “UNIX System Programming” by Mr. RajKumar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of ISE, RNSIT, Bengaluru.
  • A guest lecture was arranged for two days on “Compliler Design” by Dr. D.S. Guru, Reader, DoS in Computer Science, Manasagangotri, Mysuru.
  • A guest lecture was arranged on “Finite Automata and Formal Languages” by Prof. Padma Reddy A.M., Professor & HOD, Sai Vidya Institute of Technology.
  • A technical training on “C Programming” was conducted by the faculty of the department
  • During the workshop held on 03/12/2022, Dr. Mahaveer T Lagare shared insights into the Siribhoovalaya, a 27×27 matrix containing numbers believed to be encoded by Munikumudendu over 1000 years ago, known as the Kumudendu Code Table. This matrix is said to encompass ancient narratives such as the Ramayana and Mahabharata, with claims that it consists of 16,000 chakras divided among 9 khandas. Meanwhile, Mrs. Niharika Prasanna Kumar delivered a lecture on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts, providing participants with modern insights into the field.
  • One day Technical Talk and Hands on experience session on “R Programming Language” ,by a Resource Person Mr.Druva M S, Department of CS& E, BGSIT, B.G.Nagara on 07/03/2023.
